I am just finding this thread and am so sorry. I know how you feel as my brother (2 years younger) just left for his second tour in Iraq last week. He also spent a year in Korea, then the following year went to Iraq, and is now back there once again. I firmly believe that we have to stay strong and supportive of those who are over there as they are there standing up for something that they believe in. As you said, there isn't much for them to do so I would send my brother little hand held video games. Also, baked goods and snacks are always a hit. I will keep you, your brother, and your family in my prayers.
