As far as insurance check into your Cobra rights. I think it is when you leave your employer you can get coverage for 18 months or so after a qualifying event. Loss of insurance is a qualifying event. You have 90 days to take the coverage and it is retro to the insurance term date. So basicly you can wait and see if you get benefits during the 3 month period and if you do don't apply for the Cobra and you haven't paid any premiums. If you don't get benefits you can take the coverage retro to the term date but you would have to pay the back premium. Just make sure you check with yout Human resource dept on all this.
