My little Kingston just threw up! I am a new mom to a rescued 2 year old yorkie, that we have had now for about 2 months. We had no trouble with him at all when we first found him. We got him Iams dry dog food to eat and he seemed to be doing just fine. After he was neutered and microchipped and had some teeth pulled we have had some problems with him throwing up. The first time was about a week after his neutering and it looked just like mushed up wet dog food, then again the next day, then the next day he had poop that was surrounded by a brownish jelly type substance. We took him to the vet and they put him on Pepcid and some gasterointestinal food. He was been fine now for about a week and a half and then tonight all of a sudden he jumps down off the couch and throws up. I, of course, go into freak out mode! The vet said last time that he may have a foreign object in his stomach??? Has anyone ever been told this? He very well could have gotten into something tonight as I was cleaning up and he was following me around.
Also it is never right after he eats, it is like it sits on his stomach and then he decides to "get rid of it".
I think that the vets office thinks that I am crazy because I call all the time. Not to mention we have never had a dog before, but I couldn't just leave him out on the highway where we found him??? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
