Ive noticed Yorkies prefer KEEP AWAY much more than Fetch... We tried go get the ball (or whatever) and then said 'bring it back to me' and 'go get it'

Once he's coming back to us we'd try saying 'drop it' and reward him for releasing the toy in front of us. It can be done... but it's tough, he loves playing his game where I chase him around the house for 2 hours at a time and only get the toy once or twice!
