Barking all night sounds better than waking up in dog poop ... wouldn't he get tired of barking after a while ....

make his own bed more desirable for him and he may prefer sleeping there..... .after a few nights, he will get the idea ...

and feeding him earlier sounds like a good idea as well ....

Unless you want this to continue, try to do other things to avoid the problem ....
