I would suggest investing in a good carpet cleaner though that heats the water for you. Industrial ones are worth hiring once in a while too. Get marks and spots up ASAP when you notice them. Make sure to blend in your clean patch with the rest of the carpet too otherwise it'll show worse than a stain. I also recommend getting hold of a book by Kim and Aggie who do How Clean Is Your House. I believe they do the show in the US now too. They have some AMAZING tips on marks, stains and alsorts. I regularly use a powder based de-ordouriser on my carpets throughout the appartment too, (probably once a week but you have to keep it away from pets while it's down) and that reduced the amount of potty accidents from Gypsy too and also kills mites and stuff in the carpet.
Wel other than that book it looks like I am all set I do have a Great Cleanner I got last month. it works well but I do have some old sains that need alot of work. The DH thinks it is a waste of time because the carpet is old.. so I told him to replace it for me then
Thank you And I would not want you to travel in you condiction anyway
