I made the mistake of switching mine from Merricks to RC last week because it was more convienient for me to buy... BIG mistake!! he liked it plenty but i think he is allergic to the corn or wheat in it because he's been itching like a mad man the past week. i felt so horrible i drove 45 minutes yesterday to get a premium brand again with no grains- i chose artemis because the first 5 ingredients are meat. it was a toss up between wellness, innova, solid gold and that. Hopefully his itchies will go away now....and his missing hair will grow back after being scratched off. poor guy

IMO- dogs just do not need grains at all. fruits and veges are great, but no canines grazed in the feilds like cows or something in the wild. the carbs from good fruits and veges will give them plenty of energy. plus so many dogs have allergies to corn and wheat i don't get why companies even put it in their food other than to save them money
