I don't know if this will help or not but when one of my dogs had a HUGE hot spot (covered most of his back and it was nasty) I cleaned it three times a day with antibacterial soap, then I used johnson and johnson antibacterial foaming wash and then put neosporin on it. it was gone in less than a week
