I just wanted to add, not only do some towns/cities have a ban on this breed but, most homeowner insurances will cancel your policy if you own one. Pits (not being the only breed) is breed that insurances won't cover. They are considered high risk. If you are a homeowner I would check with your agent. I know there are agencies that will cover this breed of dog (as well as other high risk breeds) but, you pay a fortune for it.
