When we got Naiya there was a whole big argument between myself and my brothers about what to call her... I thought Gaia sounded nice (Goddess of the Earth and all that). My brother wanted to call her Nala like the female lion in lion king. I didn't like it much so we eventually compromised on Naiya
Chloey... i'm not sure why we called her that. She was called Lucy when we first got her but it's my gran's first name and i wasn't sure she'd be pleased to find i had a dog named after her hehe I had originally thought of Sienna but since she's a yorkie/maltese mix and turned out black i didn't think it suited her.
A few hours later, holding her on my lap i looked at her and Chloey just came to mind
It's quite a fun name though so i'm not bothered much... her best nickname came from it: Chloey-patra Queen of DeNile hehe
