This has been going on for many years. Back in 1992 a couple of well dressed women (working seperately) were going door to door asking if they had any dogs that needed to be re-homed, and that they have set up a new no-kill shelter where the dogs are trained and adopted out. They had a binder with impressive pictures of the compound where the dogs would live during training. I read in the paper a few weeks later where they were arrested for selling the dogs to labratory's. They could of just as easily collected dogs for fighting rings I guess. How sad that our companion animals are at such risk these days, and how we can't let them out of our sight. I never do anyway, but isn't it just so sad we do have to live this way?
