Thank you everyone for your comments and help ...

well pretty much i'm looking at a reasonably price place, doesn't really matter where in napa valley as we'll have a car and can drive to places. probably looking at $100/night (preferably lower if possible).

I will be home in September, and would go to napa during the week (he'll have just finished taking the MCAT - so he just wants to get away too).

Please keep the suggestions coming!!!

PS: I have heard GREEEAT things about French Laundry. My parents actually just ate there last weekend ... lucky! i was so jealous! yea and i heard you have to have reservations at least a month in advance.
