If there has been no green discharge I wouldn't worry yet. The green discharge is the result of early uterine placental detachment and may be seen several hours before a bitch produces her first pup. Once the pup is detached and green discharge is observed pup needs to be delivered in a timely manner. If she is straining for four hours or more without a birth you should call a vet.
