My two eat homecooked food, with some kibble from Blue Buffalo. It's the dry food only. They both like it and do well on it. When I fed this all the time, I switched flavors each time I bought a new bag. This ensures they get a better balance of nutrients, though some think it's best to change foods every so often-not every bag, but maybe once each year or so, just to make sure your dog gets a variety of different food groups.
I cover all food groups in homecooking. I feed a mixture each day of protein, carbohydrates, vegetables, and supplements. I add a little cottage cheese, fruit, and cheese in their diet too, along with all-natural dog treats for snacks and training. |
