I got mine where you just mentioned, outer upper thigh right below my hip. I love that spot. except its always hidden! I might have to get one on the other side but lower! LOL sounds like maybe you could do yours down the center of your back. My friend just got a maple leaf on the center of her back (dead center from all 4 sides) and its a nice spot! Not too painful she said either!
