Layla does that too.. i tend to tell her to stop and then i'll scratch her face for her...he might have allergies.. we are new to allergies and whatever was out about two weeks ago (pollen.. ragweed?) REALLY bothered Layla.. she chewed her paws... her eyes watered... she scratched her face... she was so upset and uncomfortable. I was leery to take her to the vet as he is quick to medicate so instead i gave her 1ml (per 5 lbs of dog) of benadryl... children's liquid dye free... see if he does this much longer or if it progresses to scratching anywhere else.
