I researched the classes that I am going to have to take and most of them seem pretty simple. there are a couple that I am sure will make me work extra hard but that is okay. Things in our life are finally where they need to be at least most of the time and stress is pretty low. So now just seems like the time to do this. |
Being a nursing professor, I wholeheartedly agree about going to classes in person. Of course, I do understand how online classes are best for some, but I do think classes in person, if possible, are the best for learning.
You are right to try to do it without working. Your life will be much easier if you are not trying to work all the time. The more you can get organized to be able to focus completely on your studies, the better off you will be.
You will "learn" many things that you already know - but just go with the flow. Be open to all possibilities. You will find yourself saying, "that is too idealistic, you can't really do it that way in reality". You are right - but the thing is that a nursing school must teach to the highest standard - which may not be able to be met in reality - but ethically, if nurses aren't taught to the "highest standards" then schools could be liable for teaching halfway. In health care, we can't always do things the most ideal way, but we can't do them halfway either, we do have to know how things "should" be done.
I know you will do great - especially if you are ready to go back to school! I LOVE going to school - I think that is why I am a teacher.
GOOD LUCK!
