My Oliver (shih poo) snagged his dew claw and it is VERY sore. He won't let me touch it. I haven't seen any blood, and he puts weight on the leg, but I'm scared it's going to snag on something again. I posted on the injured thread but didn't get much response. I'm gonna take him to the vet on Monday, should I ask them to remove it, or do you all think it will heal on it's own. Does anyone know how much it would cost to remove an adult dogs dew claws, will they have to put him under? I feel so bad for my boy.
