Here is our situation....Moose is 11 months and 11 1/2 lbs. We walk him everyday! He wears his collar 24/7 with tags on it. (we like being able to hear him all the time! lol) We put his harness on him when we go out to do long walks. He loves to walk. He walks pretty good (next to me) when we are in our neighborhood so I can take him out for a short and quick walk around the block, out to get the mail with just his collar. But when we go for our daily walks (beach, park etc.) I put his harness on. He doesn't like to put it on, even though he knows he is going out. I have to tell him to sit, then
i have to go to him and put it on him. After he has it on, he runs along the furniture and rubs (trying to get it off i guess!! lol) But then he lets me put his leash on and out we go. I have tired to give treats to make him come to me, but this works the best.
