DH did the same the other day. Immediately I took the shirt and rubbed in some Era on the spots. I let it soak like that until the next day (was too lazy to run the machine for one shirt) and then washed it. There is no oil. I was also told you can put a bit of baby powder because it soaks up the oil immediately.

I make it a practice now to not cook in my good clothes. Once I get home I put on my bummy house clothes to get cooking. I have also had a ton of splatters.
