my little baby just bit a toad! We went out for a potty break, and before I knew what was what I saw this fat body sticking out of his mouth! He took off with it, and I gave chase for about five seconds. When he finally dropped it, he had it in it mouth for almost 30 seconds.

I just read some stuff about a large poisonous toad in Florida that can be harmful to dogs and cats. I live in Maryland, so I'm not sure if that species of toad lives here. Also I did what others recommended and washed his mouth with copious amounts of water. After the incident, I could tell the whole experience was horrible (bad tasting) for him. But he seems fine now. I'm just wondering what anyone elses experiences have been with toads in or around the Maryland area???

And even though he seems totally fine, how long till I'll be in the clear?
