I'm a SAHM and it's the most thankless job out there but I think it's worth it. NO ONE appreciates what you do, there's no pay or vacations and you get a lot of "what do you do all day?". ARGH. Plus, my kids are now preteen and I hear from people that I should get a job because they're older. Oh yes, at almost 12 and 10 my sons are all done growing and I'm sure they're able to take care of themselves

Plus, if I worked outside of the home I'd have to do everything I do now(my house is very clean, I cook every day, etc.) PLUS try to fit in an extra 30 hours to work and take care of the kids...I don't think so!
I feel for you honey, it's hard. I've been to the store with my shirt unbuttoned and slippers on my feet instead of shoes. It gets a little easier but different. You'll eventually get more sleep but the messes never stop and the work to be done never stops(I try to explain to my husband what if you had to do the EXACT same thing every day, how would you feel?). He acknowledges that my job is much harder than his.
The best part? Someday you'll be the mom that can do on field trips and go to the school day functions. Your kids will LOVE it and so will the other kids in their class. I also volunteer as a reading mentor at my sons school. I don't think working(outside of the home) moms realize how much SAHM's help out with their kids. Anyway, any amount of time you can find for yourself...take it! Even if you're too tired, have you husband watch the kids while you go and get a book or a treat by yourself. Pace yourself....there's lots of years ahead.
