I live in Puerto Rico and its law to have your dog in a kennel or crate if he is in a car. But its mostly to protect the dog if there is an accident. God forbid you are involved in a car accident, your pup could go flying or hit by the air bag and that could kill him. But anyway I dont even own a kennel or a crate so my baby is loose in my SUV.
