They COULD be going into heat...it seems a little early, but I think it can happen. Especially in toy dogs-they sexually mature faster than other dogs. You might give your vet a call-she could have a yeast infection that would cause the excessive licking "down there". Emma had one as a puppy-I think about that age-and it was due to lack of hormones. All the vet instructed me to do was to wipe her "hoo hoo" each time after she peed, and it cleared up on it own. After she got a little older, she got her hormones as usual, and we haven't had a problem since. |
