If not, then I would get him done if he is old enough.
It sounds like he is either territorial or protecting you - which stems from being an ALPHA male.
Be firm with him - tell him off if he even looks like he's going to do it - don't hit him, just use a very stern voice, and put him away out of the room.
I would be very worried if he is biting kids - and a baby in the house too - not good.
Ask your Vet for advice about neutering and his biting behaviour.
