Mine is six, and I have to give her a treat to get her to come to me to take out to go potty before bed! By now, I think she just expects it, but she has a definite mind of her own! She does not come when she is called, and we have worked and worked on it. She may try to jump up on the chair, but if she doesn't make it, and I lean over to pick her up, she backs away! I have never scolded her. I praise her all the time, and I give her lots of love, but she does what she pleases. She is potty trained and she will sit, roll over, play dead, dance, and shake hands.
