I noticed u mentioned that your groomers shop is really busy which may have caused stress biting. Have u talked to the groomer about a late afternoon appt or a day when fewer clients are booked?
I trained in a large grooming shop and if I told I all saw there ppl would flip out. I think if u really want to know if u have a groomer that loves to groom and loves dogs ask a few questions.
1. Why do u groom? If the answer involves money - run.
2. What breed do u not like grooming?
3. Are u a certified groomer?
4. How do u handle stressed animals?
5. If u have to muzzle, how long do u leave it on? (ASPCA states a muzzle should not be on an animal for more than 12-15 min)
6. Do u use drugs for stressed animals?
7. How long will my dog be here?
8. Will be dog be housed with another animal? Some shops r so busy they put dogs in kennels together.
9. Am I allowed to stay? If not why?
10. What type of cleaning products do u use and how often do u clean?
If any of the answers are not good ones - thank them and find another groomer.
