As for an update on the babies. A second one has had to be hospitalized. Their diagnosis is coccidia and the other one I can hardly write-Pat will know why already but for the rest -campylobacter. I bought 2 puppies who were carriers and they got a clean bill of health. In 48 hours I had a sick baby. Within 24 hours, I had a nearly dead baby-my Jesse, heart of my heart, who had to be euthanized at age 3 years. He is on my avatar and in my album. Tears again!!
Anyhow, the babies are all on Erythromycin for campy, and Albon (I think) for coccidia. The vet thinks the babies might have become stressed as their doggy mom started weaning them and they rebelled. Anyhow, Helen (their hooman mom) is so grateful for your prayers. She said it has given her peace. Isn't that wonderful?? |
