Welcome to the world of rescues! Aren't they awesome? I'm on my fourth and can almost guarantee this is the way I'll always go.
I got my precious Chester when he was between 10 & 12. We had five of the most wonderful years together. Although I now have three (may have another soon), Chester will always be extremely special to me. I still get tears in my eyes and he's been gone almost two years.
I'm so happy to hear she checked out well at the vet. As soon as she's able to get her teeth cleaned, you'll notice a huge improvement in her breath. I might suggest that you follow up with Petzlife to keep them clean. As they get older, the anesthesia becomes more difficult for them to tolerate.
I'm sooo happy for you. Please post more pics when you can as she is absolutely beautiful.
