She just got back from the vet... She does have a UTI but they saw no stones in her urine. Her teeth need cleaned but the vet said they look to be in OK condition. She is getting bloodwork for heartworms and diabetes (just in case) Her hips are a bit stiff and just in the very beginning stages of arthritis nothing to worry about. She said to give her 1/2 of a baby aspirin each day. Other than that the vet thinks she looks to be in good health for a 10yr old. She is going to be treated for the UTI and put on heartworm meds first. The vet wants to clean up her bladder first then clean her teeth. She said Molly should start feeling better in about 3 days and completely over the UTI in about 7. Dave said Molly was shaking in the office but was a good little trooper. Now he has to explain to Lily & Grace why Molly got to ride in the car without them!!!!! Thanks again for all the kind words. This is a great site! Luv, Lynn&Dave, Lily, Grace & Molly!

We just heard from the vet...no diabetes or heartworm! Oh and one more thing...when Molly returned from the vet, Grace and Lily were waiting at the door and licked and sniffed her all over! Apparently, they realize she is one of the family! Thanks again for all the good wishes Lynn

Welcome to the world of rescues! Aren't they awesome? I'm on my fourth and can almost guarantee this is the way I'll always go. I got my precious Chester when he was between 10 & 12. We had five of the most wonderful years together. Although I now have three (may have another soon), Chester will always be extremely special to me. I still get tears in my eyes and he's been gone almost two years. I'm so happy to hear she checked out well at the vet. As soon as she's able to get her teeth cleaned, you'll notice a huge improvement in her breath. I might suggest that you follow up with Petzlife to keep them clean. As they get older, the anesthesia becomes more difficult for them to tolerate. I'm sooo happy for you. Please post more pics when you can as she is absolutely beautiful. Welcome home Molly!!
