CT just passed a law (after Hurricane Katrina) that shelters have to accept house pets. My husband said he would never leave Conner, so if a hurricane was coming our way, we were going to get in the car and get out of town. Now we don't have to worry.
I live in CT (bordering RI) and they say we are due for a big hurricane. I hope not. I am hoping for the best for all those in Florida (my parents live there) as well as all others who may be in a hurricane's path.
