Oxyie is not a drug to be used without great caution. I have been advised to never give before at least one pup had been delivered. I have used it with a very slow whelper or one who has stopped.
If you see both placenta's and take her temp AM/Noon/PM the first week, the odds are in your favor all will be fine. The minute the temp spikes, go to the vet..when I started I thought you could tell if they were running a temp by how warm they were..like children..doesn't work quite like that...since their normal temp is higher then a humans. |
