Sorry to hear both your yorkies have the same problem. One of mine, Jennie, underwent surgery for LP on one knee. She was at the time 10 years old and recovered amazingly fast. She started off limping on both legs and was scheduled to undergo bilateral LP. Then, suddenly one of her knees mended by itself and was only operated on one knee. Dogs are incredibly resilient and recover real quick. Within 48 hours, Jennie could walk although she limped a little and a week later she was almost alright.
