I had my wisdom teeth out when I was 16. We will not talk about how LONG ago that was.

I was to be put under, and was given a pill to take before I got there (of course, someone had to drive me) to loosen me up a bit.

I've gotta say, unlike you I have been put under LOTS. This was the least difficult experience of all. I was happy enough from whatever that pill was...and the rest is a complete blur. Actually, I don't remember much at all...just being at home afterwards.

I agree with Nicole about the "restraining" thing. I remember something similar happening with a recent surgery, it does freak you out. But...anesthesia works quickly and it's all over before you know it.

One more note (feeling talkative today). DH just had his first surgery EVER. He was a little disappointed afterward, because he was expecting the whole "counting backwards"...and some peaceful drifting off to sleep. He said the same thing...one minute the anesthesiologist (sp) was leaning over me, the next minute I was waking up in recovery...

Don't sweat it. YOU WILL BE FINE.
