I work at an animal hospital, and we've seen dogs who've eaten whole boxes of milk chocolates with no ill effects (except that the owners wanted to bap them for stealing their goodies!) |
Paula you can't cut a break, can you?! Diggy should definitely be OK. He is, isn't he?
Ozzie will sneak things occasionally (most recently half of a miniature York peppermint pattie off the coffee table) and it doesn't hurt him. The best story is my childhood dog who hated the mailman and we had a mail slot in the door. My namesake sent my mom a box of chocolate covered cherries -- each in its own foil wrapping -- and Shaggy ate every one of them -- FOIL AND ALL -- including the BOX and plastic tray!!!
Vet was more concerned about the trays and foil than the chocolate. He was OK though. Made for some interesting poop for a day or two though ...
