I do agree with you. I did support a puppy mill myself because I did not know about them too. But I bought from a breeder. since I was a child I have known that buying a pet from pet store is NOT right.

Do you know how ANY business works? This is simple math. If store owner doesn't get profit from certain product, he/she will NOT buy same product again. Now. Imagine, you are a pet store owner and bought puppies from a broker. Broker bought them from a puppymiller at wholesale price. Everyone made a profit, except you so far. If you sell them, you make a profit, and want to buy again. If you do NOT sell them, will you send them back???!!!

who will take them back and pay back?! they will not!
If EVEN they take them back, who will pay for shipping? of course YOU !!!
To put them on sleep costs money. To send them back costs money.

Do you want to loose MORE money or will try to get rid of it asap by selling it for less and just return money you spent already?

Just think about it. There is NO profit for anybody.

I think, for those who know about pm and still want to "save" a pup from a pet store, maybe they should ask for a big discount? I mean not $100, way more that is NOT profitable for a store owner...
Pet store people do afraid when customers know the true about their business.
imagine, when during the day everyone will ask for discount because they know about pm, they afraid to buy a potential sick puppy, whatever.
no one will like work that way....one day they may said "i am tired, it is not profitable for me"
