I agree I would check with your vet to double check on her health...but my two girls will be 3 this year and we have notice a big change in their behavior over the past 6 months. Sailor has really calmed down...she loves to just lay around the house alot more, she does still LOVE to play fetch with her ball outside but during the day she would rather just lay around and be lazy. Magic has calmed down but not as much, she still acts like a puppy alot of the time but her overall behavior has calmed down and you can tell she is getting older. But I am loving this stage, they are still playful but we want to watch TV they are okay with laying down on the couch with you.

Again, I would say that your husband's wish is finally coming true but if you are really concerned call your vet and just ask.
