Get a puppy crate for her during the day while you are at work. Dogs are denning creatures, so don't feel bad about leaving her in there all day. Make it comfy and home for her. Give her a treat every time you put her in it. Put a bed, toys and her food/water in the crate. Dogs won't poty in their homes. If she does, it's only because she simply could not hold it a second longer. The crate will quickly become her home. I recommend putting her in it for a few hours at a time, just so she can get used to it. When you take her out of it, take her immediately to the pad. Wait with her, wait, wait, wait, until she goes poty, then LOTS of praise. After she goes on the pad, set your microwave timer for one hour (a reminder for YOU) then take her to the pad again, repeat, repeat, repeat. Train her on the pad and only the pad. Don't train her to go outside until she's trained to go on the pad.

It's important that the crate isn't too big. If so, she will use one corner of the crate at her poty place and you don't want that. You want the entire crate to be her home.

This is what I did and my baby is 100% trained. I'm telling you, setting the microwave for every hour is what worked. It helped ME to remember to take her to the pad. That took maybe three days at the MOST. It was very easy.

Good luck!
