I know you're in the UK, but just in case, here goes...I had a similar problem with myCockapoo when we first moved to Central Florida. Very lethargic, diarrhea, vomiting, extreme weakness, he couldn't even manage very low steps to our deck. Anyway, we rushed him to the vet. It turns out that we have Cane Toads here and they are extremely poisonous...according to my vet, several dogs have died here. We were very fortunate with Chipper and he made a full recovery but it could have gone either way. Is it possible that he could have come into contact with something similar? It's a neurologic poison. All they have to do is lick them...the poison is excreted through glands in their skin. Just a thought - probably don't have anything like that over there, but.... Glad your baby is doing better! |
