I have heard that female Yorkies can go through what is known as "false pregnancies". They have swollen teats and can even go into a "nesting" mode as if they are expecting a litter. It's quite odd.
Schatzie is over a year and has yet to go through her first heat cycle. I've taken her to the vet and he has confirmed twice that she has not been in heat. Strange deal.
