Confused Such a fuss. Will I ever be able to take Annie anywhere

[B]We have to go to Chicago for a week. I so hate to leave Annie in the kennel again..but no matter what I try I can't trust that she will stay clam enough to fly or even stay in a hotel without me right at her side.
Annie is almost 2 years old now and spoiled rotten, she has such seperation axienty that I am about to lose my mind. I tried the herbal calming drops from the vet 5 drops a day..but they did nothing. I just bought the Quiet Moments from Petsmart and we gave it to her in the car..and it did nothing.
When have been taking her for a ride in the car every night and every night she whines and shakes getting louder and louder until I am so far out of my mind I think one of these times I won't find my way back. She gets nuts when we leave her home and she doesn't want to go in the car..
Are you suppose to give the quiet Moments every day to build in their blood or just when you take them out?
I have been leaving her at the vet's kennel when we have to go away..but I really don't want to leave her there for a whole seven days.
Can anyone give me any ideas on how to calm her down. We have an hour car ride to the airport and then a 2 hour plane ride...and lord knows how I will ever leave her in the hotel even for an hour without her barking and screaming her head off.
I know it is our fault because she is so spoiled there is just me and my hubby so no kids or other dogs here and we are so far out in Green Acres that we are her world. When the vet told us about the herbel "natural: drops she said if they didn't work she would give me something to sedate her. I don't want Annie sedated all the time..I just want her to calm down some...I am sure the shaking and screeching can't be good for her either. The minute I start to get dressed to go out she starts crying and shaking..
Somebody HELP!
