He was only 9 months also.
I asked if this was a mistake in breeding She said no it is for people that wants big dogs that do not shed

These have been around for a while now. A Lab/Poodle is called a "Labradoodle" and a Golden/Poodle is called a "Goldendoodle". But it's basically a 50/50 chance of getting a non-shedding dog since the retrievers do shed and the poodle does not...there is a range of coat types this mix can have. I have heard of several people that had to rehome these mixes because they ended up shedding and weren't hypoallergenic. We have on lab/poodle mix that comes in to be groomed that has a coat like a lab but longer and more wavy. Then we had another lab/poodle and a golden/poodle that came in and had hair more like a poodle.
