This is the kind of story I hate to read as I will have that poor little kitty in my mind for a long time. The girls who did this are sick sick sick! They should be punished and should also have to work to pay the vet bills for this poor little kitten. The work they have to do to earn the money to pay the vet bills should also be related to their crime. They should also spend at least a few days in jail - locked up - and I don't care how old they are. Mandatory counseling should also be required for a long time. These girls need to see the error of their ways. Many young people who end up becoming homicidal started out by being cruel to animals. This is no laughing matter!! My heart goes out to that poor kitten but I am glad there are good people in this world who would work to save it because in truth they may never get paid in $$ but I bet they sleep well at night.
