Yes, every person can make a difference. But not by boycotting. If you really are truly in your heart of hearts dedicated to stopping the use of puppy mills then you need to actually DO SOMETHING about it. Telling people how horrible it is, and boycotting despite the rising demand for puppies in petstores won't hurt the puppy mills at all. It is doing nothing. Calling the humane society to shut down a home where animals are being abused, is doing something. Appealing to larger companies who support puppy mills is doing something. Appealing to your state and federal government to support legislature outlawing abusive breeding practices (breeding practices, not selling pets) is doing something.

Sitting on the internet chiding someone.... doing nothing during the time that you could be doing something.
