I'm lucky to have a good friend as a vet tech so whenever my guys go for ANYTHING requiring an IV, she only shaves JUST a teensy bit, enough to get the IV in to the skin. When Bouncer had his declaws removed, I couldn't even tell she shaved right around the surgery site. lol I wish ALL vets/techs could be this good!
