I think that would be part of her problem, that most people confuse a silkie as a over sized yorkie. And say things like, oh my sister has a yorkie too but its smaller & has a shorter nose, its the cutest thing...and when they say this is a champion silkie & they look clueless-I guess it is frustrating. Still no reason to be rude to you because of that & the fact that she knows she looks pretty irresponsible losing her dogs repeatedly- these grand strong toothed dogs, he he he. I love most all breeds too, but the owner can give a breed a bad name
