OK, what wanted to tell you earlier was that when I called at 6:00 this morning, they said she was breathing without the oxygen now. They took it off at 5:00 this morning. They still had the mister going to help her. She was still not eating or drinking. They won't take the IV out til she drinks something and pees. They started coupage on her because the X-rays yesterday showed infection deep in the lungs. As soon as she is able, they want to start moving her and trying to get her to stand up and walk to help her cough.
Corrine PMd me last night about chicken broth for her. So I bought a chicken last night and cooked it up for some broth. I froze most of it and took some with me this morning hoping she would drink some of it.
So, I went at 9:00 when they opened for visitors and Tink's eyes were open and she wagged her tail when I put my hand in the incubator. Just a little bit - but it did wag!

She wouldn't drink the broth but she sniffed it. They taught me how to do coupage - which I already knew from my kids having pneumonia years ago. She's very good about it. She just lays there and doesn't get upset at all.
This afternoon I went again cause they called and said she wasn't doing very well and they wanted to talk to me. I talked to the vet and he if worried that she may have some neuro damage from the infection. She had 2 seizures last night. The techs didn't tell me cause the dr. wanted to talk to me about what I wanted to do. I told him if she can function then keep doing what he's doing to get her better. If she's a little slow or has some tics, I don't really care. So, he's changing the antibiotocs a little and checking with a specialist.
She looked at me this afternoon and put her paw on my hand inside the incubator, so she knows me! That's good!

AND she peed. She hasn't taken any food yet or water, but at least her kidneys are working! They shaved her little butt - poor baby looks a little funny. She wanted to come out of the incubator when I took my hand out and tried to get up but she's too weak. She did cry so she has the strength to do that.
I don't know what to think. I'm just going hour by hour and praying and praying. I want her to be all better and come home and play with me.
