when we first got archie, he seemed to go all the time, but now, he goes 2 or 3 times a day. the important thing is to make sure that they know that these are the times you are taking them out, and to set a schedule. At 9 each night, Archie gets ready to go out, and he will wake me up in the morning to take him out. During the afternoon, he's usually with my boyfriend and they often go outside anyway. I leave food out for Archie all the time so I have no clue what time he actually eats. In an emergency, he goes in the bathroom on a wee wee pad (this last bit is an anomoly...we didn't really train him to go to the bathroom in the bathroom. he sort of just picked up that habit by himself and i put down a wee wee pad in there after i noticed that he seemed to like going there). When we got archie, he was eating pedigree and seemed to go a lot more. now, i feed him wellness. some of the natural foods have more nutrition and less elimination. |
