well, if you put the treat in there, i would think that it almost encourages her that its OK to bark in her crate. Yorkies, IMO, are tougher to train. They take persistance and patience. I would just use a stern 'NO' each time they bark. and no matter what, don't let them out as they are barking. Be persistant and patient, and you can train your dog.

Also, you might want to consider a play pen as opposed to a crate if you leave the house. Your dog may feel better not being couped up in a little crate.
