I'm so glad Gus is all right. I understand you wanting him to be more social, I feel the same way about my 2. They play together, but not with other dogs.

I'm doing the same thing you are. My son has 2 small dogs and he brings them over so they can all play in my backyard.

So far my 2 sit under my chair and wait for them to leave so they can play with each other.
